Walkthrough
Boarding Chesapeake from the starboard aft you will notice a huge cockpit area seating 6 or more with tiller steering and convenient access to winches. One can easily move forward on wide port and starboard decks with life lines that have had their stations re-engineered for a wider foot for increased stability. Discontinuous rod rigging was removed and repaired as necessary in 2019 as was the mast. A complete Ockam Racing System displays are mounted on the cockpit forward bulkhead and at the base of the mast for convenient viewing by helmsman, navigator and crew.
The hatch for entry to the salon / interior is large with large steps. The steps' base double as an engine box cover. The interior is stripped for racing with open bulkheads forward and aft forming 5 compartments/cabins. Then compartment aft of the stairs has 4 pipe births, a head and sail storage. Aft of this is a storage space / lazaret with 2 overhead hatches. Forward of the cockpit steps is roomy port and starboard seating that could be berths. Next, toward toward the bow, on the port is a cabinet for hanging halyard storage, and additional storage cabinets to starboard. Next is the bow compartment that is open for storage with overhead hatch.
